Subject: 231 bushel wheat , hard to imagine that !!!


Interstate 35 North ia		Was catching up on my mail and caught this in 1 of the farm magazines, it’s very hard for me to even imagine combining that kind of wheat , combined some 100 bushel wheat once and that was thick and slow going . 231 just blows my mind .

West Central Indiana		I thought the same thing.
My dad and I had some 105 bushel wheat last year which was a farm record for us. And to think about 231 bpa...my goodness!

I can't imagine what a snails pace I would be in my 780 and 40' macdon to keep from tossing it out the rotor!!!

Mike do you guys plant any wheat? What kind of yields do you pull up there?

 Yes, there is some wheat planted up here. In our case it is hard red spring wheat. On our farm we have a yield goal of 50 bu./a , but some times  hit the high 70's to low 80's , then again can  get down in the mid 30's .
