Don't......just don't
What do you use?? I wouldn't use regular Acid for sure!!
We have recently been using TCI 503. It's supposed to bring back the original shine of polished aluminum. It positively won't turn it white like Acid. Seems to work well if it isn't too far gone.
You do need to be careful not to let it dry on the surface. A calm, cloudy, cool day is ideal. Don't do it in wind or sun. Pre wet the aluminum, do a section at a time. Spritz a little on with a garden type pump up sprayer after you have wet a small section. Scrub it with a brush for a minute, rinse it off with a pressure washer.
Works good for us, doesn't turn it white at all. If you let it dry on, you will get black streaks. DON'T LET IT DRY ON!!
There is also an aluminum cleaner that Mac Trailer sells. You would want to check with a Mac Dealer. It can be used on polished aluminum with no ill effects. We've used it in the past with good results. No whitening of the aluminum. We can pick up the 503 locally, that's the reason we went to that. |
