In the market for a new corn head I have a 12 row hugger head now and have been intrigued by the new Agco Command corn head. Would like pros and cons of them from people who have been running them. Thanks in advance.

What are you running now?

We have sold quite a few of them, 4 12 rows and probably 18-20 8 rows.

Very good feedback, easiest way to sell it is to go demo against the older 3000 hugger head. Brings in MUCH less trash, less butt shelling in all conditions, longer snouts reach down and get under stalks easier when needed, larger auger turns slower so you don't toss out as many ears, and the knife rolls feed better in all conditions as well.

I'm not sure I have heard of a con from any of my customers since 2016. Maybe a couple cracks in the dividers. Have a couple guys that will rebuilding original 2016 heads this winter, finally wearing our the chains. sprockets, and guides.

I have had my 3312 for 4 years now. I would agree with everything c_mayer had to say. I just rebuilt mine just a year ago after 10,000 acres and all it needed was chains, sprockets and guides. Stripper plates show very little wear. Snapping rolls very very little wear. The spiral points are lasting much longer too. Quite surprising really.
The head is made better and heavier than the 3000 series. It does take in MUCH less trash. Quite surprised by that.
The ability to tilt the head is great especially when crops are dry or down and not wanting to feed in as well.Flatten it out and stuff feeds in!
I don't think I have a con on the head except the plastic snouts are wearing where the stalks are being pulled down. Lankota makes stainless steel plates to cover that area on Deere and CIH. I'm hoping they will come out with something for the Command heads. If not, I think I will fabricate my own before next year.

We bought a used 2016 model 3308 this fall and really like it. I agree with what these guys are saying as we are seeing the same results. We gained some ground speed and don't have to worry about the chattering slip clutch on the auger in certain conditions.

So my biggest complaint on my 3000 is butt shell and head loss because of it. After I did flute mod it was a complete different head. But still butt shells but not near as bad but there's still times it can out of hand with certain numbers and dry corn. Have been looking at Drago's but like how dependable the hugger head has been. Are losses on a 3300 less than a 3000?
