Subject: Extend flex vs Enlist results?

NE

Looking at going to extend flex beans this next year. I have been planting enlist and cant say the yields have been bad. With more people spraying dicamba around me for corn, its my best bet to play a little defense if I go to extend flex. I know nothing on extend flex bean yields besides they looked better than enlist beans all year with the drought. Not seeing much for yield results comparing the two. Looking at 2.6-3.2, maybe channel or asgrow. Any good numbers that others would like to share? Thanks

I planted all XtendFlexx this year for the exact same reason, safety net for all the dicamba floating around in the air. Try Asgrow 26XF3 and/or NK 25-C9XF. The Asgrow bean is new this year and is supposed to be a few bu better than the 26XF1 beans I planted this year. The NK bean is a couple years old and it is a great bean for irrigated or dry land. I am going to plant both varieties in 2023. Good luck!!

Channel 2721RXF AND 2622RXF and 2521RXF all were really good this year

Probably not exactly what your looking for but the University of Wisconsin had a statewide study of Flex vs Enlist and the results were surprising. We did a side by side in 2020 that I could show too of extend vs enlist and they were virtually dead even. Been E3 since our 2020 plot trial with Nutrien because of the greenhouses and wineries around a few of our fields.

In 2019 I bought into that logic hook line and sinker. At least here anyway it proved to be untrue and yields have been just as good with E3. I won’t say I’d never plant extend or flex beans again if they could get it to not drift but until then we will probably be E3. I prefer more options for weed control and not less but the system leaves you feeling like your on pins and needles when the dust starts hanging in the evening you sprayed and the risk of inversion is high!

I planted Extend Flex this year, sprayed Liberty post and that worked well. Extendamax for burn down, worked very well. Been very happy with the beans and weed control. I'd say around here yields are pretty much the same it sounds like for both.

So you are ready to pay higher trait fees because of your neighbors irresponsible actions? Not judging but if you are having good success with your weed control program.....cost of seed...and apparently yield results is it your responsibility to change?
What if the neighbors did something that caused water to drain on to your fields? I get what your saying.....At one time i carried a condom in my wallet just in case.

planting dicamba susceptible beans is like taking poison and hoping the other guy dies.

You should do a commercial for Bayer as that is exactly what they want everyone to believe as their Market Share shrinks.

Just took out my XF/Enlist plot yesterday. Was the oddest plot both myself and my DSM have ever seen— only 4 bu difference from the low to high, with 9 entries. Basically no statistical difference noted between XF and Enlist.

Note All the Kruger’s were XF.
