What's everybody's opinion or experience on the new case skid loaders Alpha series? Who makes the easiest skid loader to get on and off?

I own a Volvo, love the thing, highly recommend it. but just because you can get out with the boom up doesn't make it the easiest to get in and out of.

If you've always got a bucket on, now-a-days the front openings are very convenient. If you've mostly got forks or other attachments then they can be dreadful.

Love the entry/exit of the newer (C/D) Cats, but have ripped many coveralls when I hook the pocket on the joystick as I crash into the seat.

Bobcats are still terrible to climb in and out of, Deere has quite the set of stairs to climb up into, and for some reason C/NH seems to only give you half as much room to put your feet as body.

Out of any current SSL, you'll find the least amount of love for the alpha/L200 CNH machines from previous CNH customers. The L200 is what turned me away. I like the newer Cats a lot, but they are still a big jump without a bucket on, or an attachment with a step, however the threshold to the cab is small. The L200 is not as easy to get into as the previous models, not to mention the door opens the wrong way and they insist on putting a little window in the corner to trip over. JCB/Volvo clone in SSL trim is fairly easy, CTL not as much.

That said, I don't think there is any machine with egress that is so superior/inferior that I'd buy one simply on that fact alone.

Great loader. Don't get one from from the first two years of production. Got a 232 nh sister machine. Awesome machine. Handles great. They are startng to move a lot of these now. That first two years of screw ups gave them a bad name though. I drove a cat. Liked it a lot, but I couldnt see when I hoooked up my bucket worth a crap. The NH was just smother.

The CNH does have great visibility. Although it's not very useful if the operators don't look anyways.

They've made a lot of changes to help reliability, but they lost a lot of customers the first few years and some just don't care for the design aspects (myself included).

Quick history of my machines: Bobcat 542b, Bobcat 773, Bobcat 873, Case 95XT, Bobcat S300, Cat 277C, Case SV300, Bobcat T320. Some of these I owned and others I ran for employers. You asked about the Case so that is what I will address. My SV300 had EH controls and that was the major downfall of that machine. No matter where you had the controls set in the corner post they had no feel and were very unpredictable. They also have very poor ground clearance and got stuck a lot. Machine has good visibility, way more power then traction, ok cab, and decent stability under heavy load. The door on the Case in my opinion opens the wrong direction from the rest of the industry. If you have a attachment with hoses the door opens so you have to crawl over or around them. Case has a long way to go as far as cab and creature comforts. I have found that a track machine is what I need for what I do.

I must have got lucky my sr series has just over 3,000 hours and I can honestly say not one repair. Other than an ls185.b it's been the best skid loader i've owned. Great on fuel too!

got 3 new machines in 1 year and all 3 were unreliable. air conditioning, oil leaks, alternators, computers for the pilot controls.

at 4k hours of construction booms are slopped out, mufflers falling off, lines breaking. go to a cat at 4k hours of construction and they are ready for another greasing and tank of fuel.

I'm trying out a Kubota SSV 75 wheeled machine right now. I really like the room it has for getting in and out. The door goes up over your head so the entry way is wide open. Really like the rest of the skidsteer too. Tried out bobcat and Deere also, like the Kubota by far.
