Took my family to Sigourney Iowa today to a real gem. Dumont museum pretty much blew me away. There is a LOT of everything... trains, Oliver's and pedal tractors... Along with Roy Rogers collectibles and 1/16 toys as well as any Barbie or doll... Just so much you really can't get it all in with one visit...
Anyone who is coming to south east Iowa and asks me for recommendations I'm going to point them there... Absolutely worth going... Here are some pics
The train tables are massive. 4 large tables in 2 different rooms and everything moves from the flashing lights to the helicopter blades... The kids swing on the swing sets and kids jump on the basketball court... There's too much detail and pictures don't do justice.

Apparently Oliver bought the outboard engine tooling from Chris Craft and only made engines for about 5 years when Perkins bought them out and moved production to England. Been by there place a million times and have never stopped except to look at their windmills out front, going to have to do it the next time Im up there

That is one heck of an Oliver collection. I never knew Cub Cadets had front fenders either. That's bad to say when I'm a red man and we mowed grass for years with Cub Cadet.

My neighbor had a 190XT gas, but it had a cab. Dad bought a 1967 190 XT Diesel that looked like that one except the rear axles were not painted orange from the factory.

I don't think RWG knew about it, never mentioned it in the 15 years that I have known him and enjoyed his emails, words and pictures...As you know Olivers and ACs are highly in his interest.

Love the display of all those White tractors. WE had 2-105 2-155 2-180 4-210 and last was the 4-270. (also a lot of Cockshutts before that)I'd really like to get a toy 4-270. Anybody know where I could get one. Still think its an awesome looking tractor.

My brother in law from Oskaloosa had been telling me when I came for a visit, he wanted to take me to a museum in Sigourney that had some old Oliver tractors and a model train display. I had visions of a old store front with half a dozen tractors and a dusty model train display. It was a surprise when he finally got to take me last year. The tractors are excellent restorations and the detail in the train display is amazing. I would say it ranks up there with Farmalland USA in Avoca IA.
