Anyone know a good source to purchase gas can spouts that fit on the 5 gallon plastic cans? We have some of the auto on/off spouts and they are garbage, takes 10 min to dump a can and half ends up on the ground. Tried the ez pour replacements, and they don't last very long either. It's apparent the epa has never tried to use one of the latest and greatest cans they think we must have. Thanks

I just use them as caps, I take them off and use a regular funnel. I agree they are junk. To answer your question I do not know where to get good ones sorry.

Eric,
Someone mentioned the NoSpill cans here on NAT a while ago. I think I have three of them now. IMO, they're pretty good...not perfect, but the best I've seen for sale recently.
You will quickly see how to make them less annoying and more safe, with about 30 seconds work with a side-cutter.

Add a vent to the ventless cans by drilling a hole where the vent should be and inserting a tubeless valve stem without the core. Just unscrew the cap and now you have one that empties quicker.

I used to do that. the problem is the gas would eat away at the rubber valve stem.

No more plastic JUNK.
Only NATO STEEL cans for me from here on. They'll last my lifetime, and keep the gas in better condition since they don't breath like a plastic can does. and they empty out better then the new plastic garbage.

Nearly had a tragity due to plastic cans. Junked them and steel safety cans from now on.
I use this for diesel, the sections screw together and its like 5/8" flow. Just remember to put the vent cap in too. Its got a cap to keep dirt out of the spout too.
For gas, they sell the dinky single section with a small end that will fit in the undersized gas cap in a gas vehicle.

I Quit using the spouts and now use this siphon hose http://www.amazon.com/Super-Siphon-Hose-Pack/dp/B000ZORJ1E It works great, really fast if you elevate the can. I need to know where to find a gas cap without a spout. Just a cap.

Menards in our area has replacement spouts amid vents. I changed all mine. I have also seen a video somwhere of a guy who drills back of can and installed a valve stem in hole, take the core out then loosen the cap as a vent
