First.....make sure your corn is tolerant to sulfonylurea herbicides. Some are more tolerant than others. Call your seed company if you are not sure. Second....if you have used Counter(organophosphate) insecticide, DO NOT apply Accent You can spray up to about 24" (extended leaf) or V6. Any thing over 24" you must used drops. You DO NOT want to get Accent down into the whorl of the corn plant when it is determining ear size! If so you will likely see "bottle necking" on the ears as a classic Nicosulfuron symptom. Just to be safe....I like to have it sprayed by V5. Any corn larger than that...put the drops on. That's about all I can remember from my Dupont scouting days....Consult a newer label to truth check me, and to verify tankmix of your other chems will coexist. |
