Watford City, ND | In western NoDak, dealerships sell way more 4wd's than MFWD because in wheat country, 50 and 60' air seeders with 350 - 550 bu (sometimes bigger) air carts are the norm. Takes weight and it's nice to have the ponies.
In eastern ND, in the RRV for example, 4wd's are used more so for tillage, and planters are pulled by large MFWDs. Although, planters are getting to the point where it's nice to have a larger tractor in front.
We run a 535 quad with a 45' FCoil drill, along with an older 9270 pulling a TBT 51' FCoil. We just upgraded tractors for this year, and a newer, larger drill will be coming someday.
