...have the capability to work together? Can we display the auto-steer on the 2630 and the XP on the command center or vise versa? Really would like to display the auto-steer on the command center screen and the XP on the 2630. Seems like its either one or the other. When I hooked up the planter yesterday everything came up on the command center but when I got into the shop with it and put the 2630 in everything went to the 2630.

Yes they can work together, but the steering always has to stay on the 2630. Planters, aircarts, rate controllers and SF3000 receivers can be displayed on the command center or on 2630.

This is my planter setup: I have the autosteer and 1910 aircart on the 2630 and the SeedstarXP on the commandcenter

The 3000 receiver sometimes goes from one to the other. The planter and aircart don't move unless I tell them to go to the other display. You cannot display them on both screens at the same time and the command center only works in full screen.

In the summer I use an ITC receiver on the 7R and it seems to get stuck on the commandcenter too, but the 2600 gets the GPS signal anyway. Its all one happy BUS. If you show the planter on the command center it will still document on the 2630.

How do you tell the planter to go to the command arm. Is that a setting on the 2630 or command center that you have to set or is it an activation from Deere? You said you can't run say the planter on both screens but you can switch it from one screen and back to the other? Our AMS guy told us he didn't think we could run the planter on the command arm. If there's a way to make it work if like to try it and see what it's like.

On My 7230R the default setting showed greenstar functions on the commandcenter screen if the 2630 was not hooked up. When the 2630 was hooked up the greenstar functions would be disabled. To make the displays work together you need to set up the command center screen properly first:

Select Menu button.
Select Display.
Select Advanced Settings softkey.
Select Multiple Display.

GreenStar: ..............Off
Original GreenStar Monitor: ..............Off
Implement Bus ..............ON

After yopu did that, you go to the planter screen.
In the planter setup screen: Planter >> Planter Configuration >> Display). Listed on the “Display” page will be a soft key labelled “Next VT” It will have an icon that shows 2 screen with an arrow pointing from one screen to the other.

I know you can do the same with aircarts, SF3000, and rate controllers.

I'll try that in the morning. I searched and found a thread you were a part of last spring. It was pretty much the same thing you described above. After some looking through the book I found a few things there too. Thank you for your help.

Thank you Gerald. I got it to work this morning. It automatically moved the 3000 to the command arm. I just moved it back to the 2630 and moved the planter to the command arm. Very cool. I was reading in the book and it said to make sure the box next to the implement bus was NOT checked but it needs to be checked for it to work.

I'm glad you got it to work. The manuals are not always very helpful. One of the local AMS techs showed me how to do it. With the planter and aircart there was going to be a lot to display on one screen. I really like how JD made this possible. This year I'll be running an ISOBUS controlled triple mower on my 7930. Would have been nice if it had a commandcenter display like the Rs have. I'm going to have to run the mower full screen and keep the autotrac screen hidden.

Neither the command center book or the 2630 book say anything about the Virtual Terminal. The book for SeedStar XP says something about it within the first 20 pages or so. Too bad they prolly don't make the command center available and/or adaptable to say 20 or at least 30 series Deeres. It sure makes setting up the IMS a lot simpler.

It makes me wonder what other capabilities these things have that we don't know about. Heck maybe they don't even realize what some of the capabilities are yet.

North West Kansas
Will the 2630 still document the planter when doing this?
