Ok, go ahead and chuckle... but then give me an answer after you realize what I'm saying is true. Ever since I was a kid I wore Hanes briefs. They used to come in waist sizes. I wore a 32 pants but took a 36 in the underware size( why, I don't know). Last time I bought some underware, I had to get "medium". They don't have exact waist sizes anymore ( one size fits all, yeah, right). I've always had my mom( and since she's passed, a nieghbor lady) sew up that silly opening in the front. I mean really.... does any man use that opening to p** or do they just pull the entire front of the underware down like me ??? My "junk" was always finding it's way out that opening- so- sew it up! My question is----- what kind of underware do you guys wear? I don't need the opening in front...I don't like boxers( too loose)....I like my "boys" to have a home... and I don't care if they are even woman underware as long as they work. Underware is kinda expesnsive to buy and then have it not fit or work. I don't think they take it back after you try it on either lol. My waist varies from 32 to 34. Help me out here, just threw 2 more pair away this morning when I was folding laundry !!!!!! LOL.

well it might help to first spell correctly, its underwear not underware. secondly i grew up wearing tighty whitey so i understand where you are coming from. in the last 8 years i have switched to boxers made by under armour. i would check on there website to see if that might be something suitable to your particular needs, however, i have found that the longevity of them last and far exceed nay other brand out there. they come in all different styles, colors, specific size and needs. i hate when they bunch because im an active person who doesnt spend a lot of time in one place. under armour offers a more tight fit style boxer brief that allows for movement and flexiblity without the compromise of bunching. if youre a 34 to 34 i would recommend a medium because they encompass sizes 30 to 36. the material they use is more of a spandex style which may not be to your liking, however they breath more than generic cotton blend. they cost about 25 dollars a pair but well worth the investment. this maybe a little personal but ive had the same pair since 2006 and they still look brand new and the elastic is still holding strong. good luck

Now this is a joke so please don't start a war here but...... since I keep my "tool" in my "underware" (or underwear as you spell it), should I spell it "hardware store" or "hardwear store"?????????? Just saying LOL LOL LOL.

Pehaps the answer to that depend on if your tool gets "hard wear" or if it "hardly wears"?

One more little tidbit of a joke.....capitalization can sometimes be more important than spelling. For example: Did you help your Uncle Jack off a horse ??? Or did you help your uncle jack off a horse??? LOL Sorry ladies and whoever else this offends but I had to make a point !

First world problems.,., gotta love'm LOL.. I prefer box-briefs Denver Hayes brand. I think DH is Made in Canada so they might not be available in the US but they seem to last very well, and are comfortable. I for one use the 'flap' in the front, depending on where I and what I'm doing.... if out in the field its a different story lol

Michigan.
See if you can't find Military surplus new. Most times they run 5 bucks for a dozen. The flap is horizontal rather than vertical so it's not like it's even there.
Sizes run true due to acceptance standards not changing, and bieng based upon dept. of weights and measures dimensions and not the whim of some Mommasan in mud hut somewhere in Thailand.

Sportsmans guide is usually a safe bet.

Boxer briefs for me, have to be colored.

I agree, don't think I have ever used the barn door opening in the front. Its like trying to thread a needle, with your eyes closed.

May be you should try some "Buck Naked" underwear from Duluth Trading Company. http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/mens/duluth-ingenuity/mens-buck-...

I bid my "whitey tighties" good bye many years ago in favor of boxers, but as I remember I always favored briefs from JC Penney's.

You received a lot of replies but not much help. Look at "jockey" brand. They have a pouch version, no opening in front. I like the midway briefs myself. Goes 1/3 of the way to the knee and stays there.

Midway briefs, is that kind of like the pants on the ground. They go about 1/3 of the way down the crack, but sometimes I think they have a little problem with the staying there part. I prefer everything to stay up where it belongs.

American Eagle briefs, boxer briefs and what they call performance trunks are nice, with a great support for your junk, not loose at all.

Avoid American Apparel, the rubber band loosens up. I usually wear boxers, CK has some stretch cotton models that also offer a great support, the best of briefs and boxers combined (I don't mean boxer briefs).

Most boxers of any brand are just like trunks with your junk on one side or the other, even designer brands. Check out the underwear section at amazon.com sorted by highest customer reviews to get an idea before buying.

Hanes brand underwear suck. You aren't the only one that has the "gapping" problem with hanes. Fruit of the loom doesn't have that problem. I wear boxer briefs. On a side note I know of no grown man that doesn't use the "exit hole." You, my friend, are the lone exception.

I shouldn't reply because I think that I've stirred the pot enough for right now but a poster above (plierswearer) states that he doesn't use the escape hatch either. I don't know how old he is and I may be the only 53 year old that doesn't use the hatch but I am not "the only one". Isn't it just lovely how we can all get a laugh out of such the smallest concern lol? Or is it- what I'm concerned about, is too small lol? Thanks for all the replies but as a couple of you said... I never really got that many actuall answers to my question. I will however mull them over. Thanks.

Well don't spend too much on new underwear if you're in your fifties like me. We can't be too far away from depends, can we? I'm wearing hanes briefs now, but all they are good for is giving you panty lines. They aren't so hard on the waist as some of the elastic ones are. I never try to wrangle that thing out through the opening, not gonna start something I can't....................... Guess I shoulda read the instructions on the package.

Panhandle of Ne.
I to wear hanes and have the same problem since they started going from exact size to the 32-34 or 36-38. So one day while in Sams I thought what the heck. I normally wore 36, so I bought a bundle of 32-34 and they are a perfect fit.

Unless you have had "the boys" get sideways out of the "mancave", you don't know what real pain is!! I've been going somewhere with the wife, stop, throw the door open, rearrange the boys back into the cave, hop back in and go. All the while, the wife is sitting there laughing her behind off with tears in her eyes. Crawling up the steps getting into the tractor, forget about it. Always had to get the livestock back in the fence, what a PITA. Then while in a crowd, now that's a trick to not look to obvious adjusting the"twin dingleberries" as my grand son would say.

So, doesn't cost much to try one size smaller instead of one size fits all!!!!

Have a couple pairs of loose undies that give a similar experience. Those are spare tires when washing gets overdue. This isn't even traumatic. I used to walk out of the shower as a kid in my briefs and the family witnessed "the great escape" from the living room Male chauvinism is the topic tonight. Only on agtalk

I have no problem using the 'escape route' except when I'm wearing insulated underwear then it's left to right and left to right, gets confusing when I have to go quickly so then I go with the down in the front method!

Underware and underwear are too confining.

How about the pair for sixty bucks that have negative charged ions to help increase blood flow to that area. Just read it in men's health this afternoon. For prostate problems and ed problems. They write that it did show improvement in both.

A simple honest to the point answer. I've tried several different ones and this is what works best for me. They have different styles that set lower at the waist, but I get the standard ones. The material is soft, and they fit well. http://www.sears.com/covington-men-8217-s-briefs-5-pk-fashion-cotto...

I don't use the escape flap. How do you maneuver out and once you're done how do you reel it up and fit it back through that small hole? Ha!

buck naked boxer briefs by duluth trading. They last forever and are very comfortable.
