West Central Minnesota
Are there any discounts available when purchasing a new Ford vehicle? The only one I see for sure is for Iowa Farm Bureau members. Someone told me that there was a discount available for college students and military service people. Can you confirm these or add any others?

I bought a new 2011 when the 12's came out because they had some very attractive rebates, $7,000 on an F-250 but that's the only thing I know of other than Farm Bureau.

Hi Butch, Wife bought a new Fiesta and they had a 500$ Farm Bureau thing. But it was a Michigan dealer and we had an Indiana address so no 500$. almost killed the deal ready to walk out but wife wanted the car.

It has been 12 years ago, but I bought a dodge truck in Oklahoma, lived in Ohio, and I was able to get the $500 rebate by just filing for it thru my home county office at that time.

Jumper - 1/4/2012 17:20 I pretty sure there is one for college students. Have to have copy of classes for the semester and I think it was about 250 dollars, not sure about the amount, and not sure if you have to title the car in the students name, which may have other issues if they don't have a credit rating in not paying cash for it. Read something about it a while ago but can't remember the details. sorry best I can tell you.

That is quite a discount for a college student, with empty pockets. For a $40,000 pickup give them an extra $250 discount.
Now that would sure swing the deal for me. Wow.

I picked up a 2011 F150 Lariat yesterday. $500 Farm Bureau rebate, $1,000 5.0 rebate and $3,500 in other rebates. One of the rebates was for a vehicle being finance. I finance $7,500, which I will pay back in full in the next three months; this part was worth a $1,000 rebate............So, they sold me the vehicle at invoice, then $5,000 in rebates were deducted. If I had traded a vehicle in, I would have qualified for another $1,000 rebate..................If the dealership would have had the vehicle in stock, they would have went below invoice before subtracting the rebates................................Edit = The 5.0 may have been only $500, but the rebates totaled $5.000

WY, OK
You can get X plan price with either 100 shares of Ford stock, little pricey now that it is over $10 or someone who works for Ford can give you an X plan pin, which is hard to get now because they reset each year. All rebaates are deducted after X plan price which is barely over invoice. There are also some other groups that you can get X plan with if you are a member but I do not know them off the top of my head.

Daughter asked about college student, would have given up more in other incentives than the student discount. Was a whopping $250 when she bought this past summer.

If you request info on your model of interest from website, there is sometimes a decent coupon in info. Was that way for our new Fiesta last spring.
