Subject: Vermeer 605n net wrap issue

CMN

We have a 605n cornstalk special and issue is the net wrap doesn’t want to go to the edges of the bale most times can’t not figure why this is? Mostly bale straw and cornstalks and does it on both. Tried different wraps makes no difference. The spiral roller looks good that I’m thinking is suppose to spread it out. Any help appreciated thanks

1. Check to make sure the spiral roller isn't installed backwards. Had that happen once.
2. Increase net wrap brake pressure.
3. Check to make sure the net pan that holds the net to the belts is touching belts all the way down the tailgate.
4. Check net guide fingers at the bottom of the tailgate.
5. The windrow size could affect this. A 6' windrow would have a lot of crop on the ends of the bale, a 5' windrow would be more ideal.
