Wat is yall's opinion on an 8130? Wat size equipment will it handle? Lastly which chip would be the best fit for that tractor?

                                                                        Thanks,

buy a 8230 if you want to chip your 8130. those chips are a joke.

Im going to run a 16 row mounted planter on a 8130 this yr. I could be wrong, but dont think you can chip the 30 series, the older ones you can but think theyve changed the new ones, Id prefer a 8230 or 8330, but I guess this will get me by.

I wont need an 8330 or bigger. Will it handle a 28' narrow space disk? A 16' or 18' chisel plow? We are on 8 row wide rows and I will keep my 4955 and 4850. Both around 215hp or so.

I don't think that has ANYTHING to do with the chip.....might need to reprogram the tranny......

I run a chip in a 8320 and 8100 both work out great, I dont need the chip for the equipment I pull, but the extra power is nice, so is the fuel saving. They really do help with fuel.

I had a 25' Krause disk on it earlier this sring 8 in sp and was running about 6.5 mph,as deep as I could set it and only places it would work it much was some hills, otherwise no problem. On a dble bar 8r30 buffalo stalk chopper was running 14.5 mph and handled it allright. 28' disk might be pushin it in heavy soils, lighter soils you would pry be ok. Depends on the disk also, have a neighbor w a 30' SF disk and works the crap outa there 8400-8410.

ND
can't chip the 30 series because of the antitampering device on the harness connectors

You won't have any problem with a 16 row planter, we pulled a 2000 gallon tank behind ours last year and it played with it. Geared up, idled down didn't work it at all.

We've got a 28' 496 disk and it doesn't bother it a bit. Wish I had a 32'. Also pull a 34' 726 mulch finisher and it has no problem with that.
