SE Iowa | Who has a Rubin 9? Have many problems with it? We have a three point 4m with the 500/400 combo reel and can’t seem to get it to work at all! Ground is unlevel or ridged. Would like to know how you get it set right! |

Oregon | A lot of folks (including US dealers) seem to confuse recommend kph with mph. Rubin 12 seems to like 7-9 MPH depending on soil conditions.
You may still pull a Rubin 12 apart and parts may still fall off, but they can be set up to finish nicely.

NE Kent County, MI | If it’s anything like my Lemken heliodor you need to take your time and get the fore/aft set.
We take and set the depth to just shy of max and go, set your fore/aft so its not dog-tracking behind you, and run it. We’ve found that once your fore aft is set right it will pull straight no matter what depth you’re running. |

SE Iowa | Do you have a 3 point unit? Last problem I had was it was really rough behind the rolling baskets.

SE Iowa | Would agree with that. It’s not a 11 mph tool but at 13 foot it doesn’t go very fast at 7mph. |

Clinton, ON | I have a 5 meter 2 point hitch Rubin 9 with the double roller on the back. At 3.5" depth or shallower, you can usually do up to 10 MPH. If you want to run deeper you have to run slower. At 5.5" deep, I was doing 5 MPH. Also at shallow depths, the soil has to be pretty dry. Make sure that the front gang is running the same depth as the rear, or ever so slightly shallower. The rebound tines are for breaking up the soil and should be set so it does not clog the unit. Also the flat disks on the sides can be set so it doesn't create too much of a ridge between passes. There is a bit of trial and error with these machines, but are capable of doing a very nice job. On mine I will be changing the disks soon, I have just about no notch left on the front disks. |
