Anyone ever change the Hercules engine in a 135 White to a 5.9 cummins or know of a company that offers the components? Thanks for any info.

Never done it but here is link to a company that has a kit listed on their website. Looks like you could either go with a 5.9 and turn it into a 140 or a 8.3 and turn it into a 160 http://www.agrepower.com/repowerkits.html

Go on the Yesterdays Tractors forum. They have a lot of people on there in the Oliver White section that have done this. Many knowledgable people on there. Do a "White Cummins" search on there and you will get a lot of replies. There are also some very good deals on the Army surplus version of your Hercules engine on ebay all the time. They will bolt right in your tractor with a minimal amount of hassle and money. These were on there a few weeks ago. Good luck.

Not what your asking, but I had mine rebuilt last year by a local guy for less than $4000.00. I bought a rebuild kit from jackssmallengines.com
A few small things had to come through the local dealer. I was amazed at what Jacks carries and they where fairly prompt.

They come and go on there all the time. A few that I found on there were these three items. First one was a rebuildable running engine for $350 dollars in Norfolk NE. Item number: 160301490639. The next item is a rebuilt one as a power unit in Burlington Twsp NJ for $5750. Item number 140280969613. Next one is a 2 1/2 ton military tanker truck that these engines come in. Is located in Benton Arkansas and has a buy it now for $4200 dollars. That actually looks pretty good and useful. Item number: 390031982992. There are probably many more if you want to do some searching. These are just a few on there at the moment. Good luck.
