What are the weak spots? Pivot point to raise and lower entire auger an issue?

Can a 7140 Magnum handle it if we take it easy? This is temporary since we would like to upgrade in the future.

TIA,

Jay

You will need to reinforce the drawbar but it will handle the cart ok with a good operator. We ran our 1194 on a Cat 55 for 3 years and it got the job done but really struggled in hills or soft ground. Have a Stieger 385 on the cart now and it's so much better.

Cliff, do you know what the differences are between the 94 and 96 series carts? Starting to look around, and am wondering if the 96 series is worth the extra cost.

Not near enough tractor. Have a J&M 1151 on a JD 8310R and that tractor is on its knees when the cart is full.

Are you on hills? I have a J&M 1326 on a 8310R and it's a great match.

On any Brent Avalanche if you run it hard the brace anchor on the right side towards the front will break out. Other than that, heck of a cart, I enjoy running them for other people. (We dont even run a cart at home) The pivoting auger comes in handy on a windy day.

Too much cart for a Magnum though, fully loaded I would want a decent 4wd on them. For a cheap cart tractor, MF 4000 series seems to work good.

If you have good stalk stompers, and/or run crappy tires on the tractor, try to skip the row crop version. falls through the mud much easier. The big singles float much better. This guy has one of each, and the row crop one is not well liked.

Maybe on flat, dry ground.

I think the biggest difference is the 96 has a 4 way adjustable spout while the 94 just has a pivoting auger. The tracked models might have also gotten a better undercarriage on the 96.

I think the 94 has 20” auger and the 96 is 22.

No pretty flat ground overall. Put a steinbauer on the 8r this fall and it helped, but when it got wet we put the 9630t on it because I was having trouble with the 8r getting to the truck and back in time.

I put my 8100 Deere on mine this fall when the big tractor went down. It wasn’t ideal, but it worked as long as you kind of plan ahead and don’t over fill it when you have a large hill to pull. Ran it that way for 400 acres. I love the cart.

No, a 1084 has the 20” auger but 94-96 both use the bigger auger.

Worse case scenario, put 1-2 combine dumps and head to the semi to dump. Don't make it too difficult, he said it was only temporary.
If the truck gets behind, park the cart, dump directly into it until the truck returns.
We have a Deere 8130 on a 1400 bushel grain cart. Yes it knows it's back there, but please don't do this if it is really wet!
