Edgeley, ND | I had a draper belt tear yesterday on a JD 635FD. I checked with 2 different dealers and one charged $1552 and the other $1642 for the same belt. Of course needing one I had to pay the ransom. Checking online they are considerably cheaper. Sloan Express was the cheapest of all at $899. But my concern and question to all of you is about quality. The Sloan belts are listed as 1 ply so makes me wonder about durability.
Any insight from anyone out there?
TIA

NE OK | I just got my first FD this year but my neighbor has been running his for 3 years, and he said they initially used the deere belts, but tried the raptor belts from Sloanex and like them just as well. So I intend to use the raptor belts when I need them. |

Edgeley, ND | I was looking back at my post from a couple years ago wondering about these draper belts so I thought if I could be of some help to anyone who finds this post looking for the same information. I had purchased a raptor belt from oan and they are a better belt than what JD has originally on their draper heads. Raptor belts are available from more vendors than Sloan and are a better price than going to the JD dealer. |
