NE ND | I see FLD 112, 120 and even a 162. What do the different numbers represent? |

Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | I thought that 112 and 120 were bumper to back of cab measurements.

Pierce county WI | I don't think you have seen 162. The classic XL is a 132 I believe. 112 was usually small block engines, but not always. FLC was freightliner conventional. FLD was set back rounded off ( not the energy saver set back cement mixer nose). FLA was a cabover. Then the letter think went out the window when they started building the century class. But in the early days, they just called the freightliner conventional, the freightliner conventional. |

| I may be mistaken but I thought the FLC prefix was a steel cab vs. aluminum? The 112 also had a shorter hood.? |

Misprint? Maybe supposed to be 132? |

Western Wisconsin | They might have just missed a couple numbers. If that is the case it's probably a FLD12062. We have a FLD12064SD, 120" cab to bumper length, 64" hood, severe duty. |

Pierce county WI | That looks like a fld 120 set forward axle. |
Pierce county WI | Not early in freightliner production. I don't think the first conventional came out until 1975 or 76? Freightliner didn't build a steel cab until late 80s maybe. They were a west coast, aluminum truck. |

NE ND | What is "set forward axel"? New to the semi thing. Currently running 2 old cab over tandems (cl9000 ford and ih eagle) |
