SC.OHIO | Hey all. Hope everyone is having a safe and productive harvest so far. I have a question in regards to intake valve actuators on a C15 ACERT in a KW T800.
The actuators keep giving us trouble. Last night on the last semi load of the night the check engine light came on. Turns out after flashing the code it was something to do with IVA pressure. Last year we had a similar incident and after removing the valve cover we discovered many jam nuts loose on the valve bridges. Has anyone on here ever deleted them? And if so is it hard to do?? Thanks for any insight. |

| I know of several that have been "deactivated" and a tune to the motor and it makes a huge huge difference. Actually works good to leave both turbos on and not single turbo it. |

SC.OHIO | Thanks for the insight. I have read where guys convert it back to one turbo. I was wondering if it would make any difference. We have two T800s. One with a C15 single turbo (Non- ACERT) and of course the other. Ironically the one with single turbo has less HP but it is much more responsive. The IVAs on the other truck I think are limiting it extremely. Do you know how involved removing the IVA system would be? |

Nebraska | May be wiring harness. I kept getting codes on mine once it run for awhile and warm up and would derate the power as soon as check engine light would come on. Guy before me had changed different sensors and such but the harness fixed it |

Central South Dakota | Was the pins in the harness to the actuators on ours. 06 C-15 |

SW. IOWA | It's easier to delete a bsx than an mxs. |

| I am under the thought that nothing was removed physically, just put in a neutral setting and ignored, then tuned I will verify cost tomorrow and let you know. |

East Texas | We deleted IVA’s on our MXS’s. Simple delete tune and back off the actuators and adjust valves while there. Leave the twin turbos, they aren’t the problem with the acert’s. The lousy tuning is the issue. |

SC.OHIO | Thanks a bunch! I was hoping all we would have to do is back the IVAs off and re-tune it. Sounds like that is the simplest thing to do. |
