I just had the front one go bad. I couldn't find one since that's the weak spot on the machine. I also figured a used one was just about to go out so I went ahead and bought the whole thing. $12,000 without labor. That's over half what the machine is worth but I've had good luck for 30,000 acres so I hope it was the right decision.

Oil was leaking on the inside of the wheel so the dealer jacked up the tire and shook the front tire and it was loose. They jacked up the other side and it was tight. If I would've know this I could've jacked it up over the winter. It's quite a job unless you've got a tall jack to shake these wheels. You'll need a truck load of blocks or a tall hydraulic jack. If you see oil leaking on the inside of the wheel you might want to check for sloppiness. The problem is when you grease these everyday the grease weeps out and looks similar to an oil leak from the wheel. If I would've had time I might've been able to have this rebuilt rather than buying new. The closest available replacement was in Canada. They said it's on the way but that was almost a week ago. If I had to do it over again I would've called every shop that specializes in hydraulic rebuilds.

Where can you get a new one

Rogator is an agco product and in Illinois Altorfer Cat handles parts and service. Since Altorfers has a limited number of service centers some Deere dealers will work on them. Deere made a lot of parts on the older rogators so a deere dealer 15 miles away is usually better than a 75 mile trip to Altorfer's. If Altorfers were closer I'd let them handle it. Hopefully my replacement has left Canada and on its way here unless we really pissed them off and they decided not to send me my wheel motor. That would be my luck.
