North Central Texas

I have searched and read all the messages about the 2630's leaking and the big bubbles on the screen.  We have 2 that are doing this and are afraid that they will quit at the most inopportune time and are thinking maybe we should have them repaired.  We are located in North Texas and those cabs can get very hot during the summer if not in use and closed up.  Is that the problem and are there any solutions that anyone has found?  If not what is the problem?  Thank you in advance.

I have had 3 bubble like that. Located in southeast Missouri and we get pretty warm in summer. I do believe it is the heat. I have seen some that are pretty bad and still worked fine but my dealer had some that actually had a sticky gel leaking out of them.... Search agtalk... there was a post a while back talking about how Deere has started using a different screen starting back in February. They claim it is better but who knows. I also posted a thread a couple days ago not too far down talking about a company that has replacement screens for 2630's.. David was very straight forward when I talked to him on the phone. Explained how they switch screen and a little differnet process than just screen, actually a whole front half including front bezel. My local deere used this company for replacement screens several years ago for 2600 screens.

I bought a used 2630 from my dealer recently. It had a bubble in the upper right corner, but he said don't worry about it. About a week later after I got it installed and setup the touchscreen stopped working altogether. I took it back, (glad I bought it from the dealer with a guarantee) and he sent it into Deere to get rebuilt. Now I found out there is a long wait time like a month. So be prepared if you send it in to have a backup unit if you need one. Supposedly I'll have a demo unit to use if i need one, but still snow on the ground here.

I have no connection to this guy/ service, but just got a couple of these emails actually. I have no experience with them either but seems like a good price.

I sent one in to Deere for repair a week ago (3/21/2018) , got notification that it was shipped back to me on (3/26/2018) Don't think that is too bad, every one that I have sent in has been back in less than two weeks.

Mine was sent in on 3-12, and I'm still waiting. Plus it sat on my dealers desk for about a week before that.

The price for a 2630 repair with the new AIR GAP screen from Deere Reman/Repair Center is $850.00. That includes a 1 year warranty on the repair. I wonder if the new screens that was listed in the previous post are AIR GAP? If they aren't the bubbles will reappear and you are back to square one. I like the 2-3 day turn around but I also understand that the Deere Reman/Repair Center tests these units after repair has been made.

Good morning, Our JD 2630 repair is strictly a Touch Screen Repair. So if you are having issues with the touch screen, we can provide the repair. we test the product before return shipping and the repair comes with a 1 year warranty. We also sell the JD 2600 Replacement touch screens which is Plug-n-Play.
Our repair DOES NOT correct the AIR-GAP issue. It's our understanding the JD is attempting to replace the LCD with a different LCD product (There are thousands out in the field with this issue). we also understand that farmers are currently waiting several weeks to have the AIR-GAP issue resolved.
