| Error code E9150 appears frequently and engine loses power. Dealer printed off a page with list of potential problems. Engine runs excellent as it should until code appears. Fuel lift pump sounds to be running as it should. I think I have it narrowed down to the "COMMON RAIL RELIEF VALVE" were is this located? Or, the "PRESSURE SENSOR AND THE SENSOR HARNESS", I can see the harness but were exactly is the pressure sensor located they speak of? Fuel filters have been changed. Can either of these be tested for proper function or only replaced? TIA! |

| You really need to have someone plug a computer on and read the code. It will show 9150 on the dash but in the computer it will come up to 9150.X and that will tell you exactly what it might be. I have had 9150 come up for a electric lift pump and 9150 come up on a different tractor (I have an 8480 and 665B) and ended up with 2 bad injectors. |

| Ok, the reason I had ruled out the an injector as being the problem is because the tractor runs very well and clean until this code pops up. I figured the tractor would run poor all the time with a bad injector. When the code pops up several lights lights also flash and tractor loses power. This is why I believed it was just a sensor or something less serious than an injector. The injectors and pump were new 1000 hrs ago for what it's worth. Maybe I will have to get a guy out with a computer |

KY | Take the connector apart that plugs onto the MPROP valve solenoid on the high pressure pump, mash the sockets a little with a pair of pliers so they make tighter contact on the pins. I have fixed two different machines throwing 9150's by doing this. |

| Not saying it is an injector but mine would run just fine until it threw the code and then would start to slowly derate the motor. Once computer was put on it 2 of the injectors were failing. I put all 6 in as it was not that much more for the additional 4 than just 2, considering we were already in there. Ended up that 2 had already been replaced, not the 2 that were bad. Tractor had 3000 hrs on it at the time. This tractor was an Auctiontime purchase sight unseen other than pics and video. I did get it bought right with more than enough room to put some $ into it compared to market at that time. |

Crawfordsville, Arkansas | Not saying this is your problem but check air intake under the hood for a birds nest. Fought the same problem on a 8280 for a day before I figured it out. New fuel filters would make it run but not well. Finally pulled air filter cover and it ran like a scalded dog. Started chasing back and found a birds nest in the intake venturis under the hood. |

southeast Washington | If you are sure the electric fuel pump is running right then check the pressure sensor on the filter. |

Strathcona, mn | I had a 8.4 issue in a gleaner that was detuning and causing all kinds of troubles. Dealer checked injectors with computer. Injectors were fine. It ended up being the relief valve on the fuel rail. It screws into the end of the rail. If it senses a fuel pressure spike and pops open they tend not to reseat themselves and will cause issues. Sounds like it can be a somewhat common issue with the fuel system. It would be a pretty cheap and easy one to replace and check. There is no way of knowing if it is bad without replacing it. Have to be careful installing it as damage to fuel rail can happen with over tightening. |

NEWI | We had a similar issue with our 8480.... I don’t remember the code but ended up being the wire harness (after having pump checked). Plug on the harness cracked and had a bare spot on wire from rubbing. |
