I know they are junk engines. Curious how they run once they are completely deleted.

I had a 2005 international 8500 with the ht570 which I think is the same thing as Maxxforce and it was the worst piece of equipment I have ever owned. I bet I had 20k in repairs on that pile and it still was not even close to reliable. I bought the truck for 15k put a $3,500 bed on it, had it a couple years, mayb 12,000 miles, spent around $20,000 trying to keep it going never did fix its overheating issue. Ended up selling it on bigiron for like $8,000 that’s hard on the finances. Oh and never buy a truck from gm trucks in larado, tx. The truck broke down on the way home and they could not care less that I was stranded 10hrs from home and pretty much laughed at me when I asked for help with the bill. Even though I pretty much gave the truck away I was still smiling when it left my farm.

They aren’t junk engines imo......the base motor package is a pretty stout German motor. The emissions package is the problem. I’ve posted before about this......mine may blow tomorrow but at the price point I paid so be it.

I saw two trucks sitting on the side of the road last week while hauling grain. One was a glider kit Pete with steam rolling out the radiator. The other was an older Volvo. They all have problems, it comes down to how much risk/reward you are willing to take.

How many miles do you have on it since you deleted it? How much did the delete cost?

I'm willing to gamble. they are going for under 10k on auction time with less than 400k miles. I just got to find someone to delete it for me. I'm in north Alabama.

deleting would help a lot , also check for turbos passing oil , the two that blew up on me had turbos passing oil .

Take off hose from turbo to CAC first befre you write the check . If oil residue is in these pass on that one .

I think it's a Cat C13 engine with International's fuel system, electronics and emissions.

The 13liter is a Man long block with ACERT turbos and navistar emissions. There is a 15 liter maxxforce that is Cat based.

Just save your money and buy a new Hino, don't ask how I know. The one thing that I do know is that the 20k sticker difference was gone when the bills stared coming in on the Maxx force.

Careful for hack job tuning that shuts off oil psi and coolant temp parameters. Have one saved on my laptop that came in for a proper “solution”.

I have a 2012 Maxxforce-13 for sale that can add a (EGR-DPF) Solution too if need be. We have completed over 100 trucks this year alone. We strictly specialize in Semi Performance/Solutions. Can properly handle (Cummins, Cat, Detriot, Paccar, Maxxforce, Volvo, Mack, etc). We strive for OEM look and sound, with Engine and Driveline safely kept in mind on the performance side.

Couple options on a C12, can custom tune them for another 30hp-65hp with a new torque curve. Have newer Accerts running around with (IVA off/ w factory compounds 400-475hp) or (Twin to Single swap w/ IVA off)

Feel free to buzz me an email anytime.
