| I've got an older model 1840 Case skid loader (1990 model). It does not have the plastic/fiberglass access covers on the top of the chain case. How is a guy supposed to remove and install the axle assemblies on this machine? I've managed to do one and it was a real PIA but I have to believe there's a trick to it that I'm missing. |

Northeast Iowa | Ahhh......yes, a D-hole machine!!! Or as I say, A-hole!!! I have felt your pain!! I doubt you are missing much! They suck!! Some people use a rad. hose pick or a homemade style pick to get the chains back on. I have heard of people actually cutting the holes in the chain case. Then adding the covers or making their own covers. If you plan on keeping the machine for a long time it may be worth doing that. |

| yeah, we bent up some long skinny hooks to start put the chain on the cog before putting it in the hole. There has to be about 10 pretty simple things they could have done to make that easier to put on. Its just hard for me to fathom that they made it that hard to work on. |
