Im am thinking about buying a case ih mx200. I have read mixed reviews on here about them. I am looking at one with 2100 hours 2 wheel drive. I have a ih 5288 right now that is my main tractor that this would replace. I have also thought about waiting and looking for a 71-8920. Would be pulling a 12 row john deere 7200 vacuum planter hauling gravity wagons and running a round baler. Would put about 250 hours on it a year.

If priced correctly, I would think the MX200 would make you a really good tractor for what you're wanting to do with it. I personally would not be scared of the 200.

I had one. Really liked it. Replaced it with a MX210 with MFD.

Awesome tractor! We have had four of them with no problems. Two 2wd's and two MFD's. The MFD's pulled 16 row kinze planters for many years with no lack of power. At 2100 hours, the tractors is hardly even broke in. We ran one up to 7000 hours before it was replaced and all we ever did was change oil and fluids on time.

I’ve got a dreaded 99 model. Been a pretty good tractor. Mechanical motor Ask if u joints between motor and tranny have been replaced. Some of the controllers are getting hard to find for the 99 models. All in all pretty good tractor, but the 99’s should be discounted.

We had a 99 model and had good luck with ours. Traded it in on a 250.

Got a 1999 model here and it has been the most reliable tractor we’ve had. It’s done all of the planting, spraying, side dressing, and wagon hauling(until we went to a truck) since we’ve owned it. I would not be afraid of one at all, should make you a really nice tractor.
