NC IA | It isn't terrible if you are going dead straight and backwards but it can be a pain if your wheels get stuck in the ribs. it also depends on what type of wheels your pallet jack is using.

IL | FWIW. Prob a cheap jack under a small pallet of chems or a mini bulk tank Kinda what I was thinking

ND | You could put plywood down in the area where the totes are.

East Central Ia, S. Waterloo | My experience, 20 yrs on Menards receiving dock, did it many times with no problem. Wheels were always wide enough to span the slots. When it's cold those floors can get real slick.

Dresden, Ontario | works fine, just need a bit of speed when turning pallet around so the wheels don't get stuck between the ribs. used to load pallets and totes with onions in the ribbed floor trailers all the time, then got an electric pallet jack.....made the job of loading 52,000 lbs (26skids) a breeze :-)

Iowa - Floyd County | I'll second that, 12 years working at a grocery store for me. Never had an issue with the jacks but those floors were dangerous with the frozen loads, ended up on my behind quite a few times. I think it would be just fine in a tender trailer.

just a tish NE of central ND | west illini - 11/10/2017 14:49 How well does a pallet jack work on the ribbed semi refer trailer floor ? I can say this....... a full loaded tote of roundup and AMS are quite heavy to move even on the level on a hardwood floor. (lots of weight to control)They are like 265 gallons or there abouts in volume. A full tote of liquid fertilizer si considerably heavier.

Dresden, Ontario | 2000lbs skids of produce are a b*tch on the old hardwood floors with an old jack with small steel wheels....ha ha I can tell you that from a lot of experience. the newer ones have larger wheels and are quite a bit easier to move heavy loads

Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | Used one for 8 years hauling fresh seafood out of Boston. Never had any real problems. As an earlier poster said, just try to have a bit of speed up when you want to go cross ways to the ribs. Also, wet floors are SLICK. Rubber soled shoes help but the floor will still be slick. Oh yes, did I mention that when the floor gets wet it will be slick? My butt still hurts when I think about it.

Interstate 35 North ia | I've delivered seed corn with a reefer before , I think its easier to push a big pallet on a reefer floor than a dry van floor provided the floor is dry in the reefer . Like others have said you want to have your speed up when you want to turn on the rib floor .
