What's everyone's experience with the New Holland T4 tractors? Looking at a T4.110 or a T4.120- really trying to find one with a dual command transmission. Do they seem to be holding up well? Any common issues? Any issues with the DEF? Will be used for loader work and primarily a hay tractor- pulling a 10' discbine, raking, pulling a round baler and a square baler- also bushhogging, spreading fertlize and as a backup to pull a 6/11 planter if needed occasionally. TIA

We have a 3 or 4 year old T4.95. It doesn't use DEF. We really like it, its very handy for feeding and smaller jobs. It struggles on a big baler, mainly from frame size and braking weight on hills.  Perfect size for a square baler and raking.  Ours is a shuttle shift with 12 gears. I wish it was a dual command or whatever they call it with a rabbit/turtle high-low button in each gear.

Be sure and buy the upgraded seat, and the heavier of the two loaders, if you get one.  We had to later add a third rear remote valve to run a bale retriever.

Thanks for the responses. I think the "0" series T4's have DEF, the first generation "5" series did not. Guess it's coming, might as well get used to it, so that's not really a big deal to me.

This tractors replacing a TL90A, and according to tractordata, the T4's slightly heavier, so it won't be any worse than what I'm used to anyway.

Thanks for the suggestions David, I'll be sure to keep them in mind. Wasn't even dreaming of a brand new tractor, but NH has some smoking deals on closeout models right now, and you can't afford to buy late model used when you compare to new...
