| I have a 1983 4450. Have been having intermediate water temp gauge problems. Sometimes the gauge will stay in the cold position and never move, other times it will work for a while and then return to cold. All of the other gauges function as should.
I have replaced the water temperature sensor already. Wires under hood seem to be fine. Was wondering or hoping that someone else has experienced this before and knows what's going on... thanks ahead of time!

central illinois | My 4430 did the same thing, just tapped it with my fist started working but sometimes it will need a tap. Looks like same gauge always thought it was the gauge but never replaced it that was 7000 hours ago. |

Northeastern Pa. | That whole side of the panel gave us trouble so we put an automotive oil and temp gauge on the left side above the small door. |

Fruita CO | If it has 2, do away with the one on the water manifold. Can't remember if you just disconnect it or jump the wires on the sender together...there was a service bulletin on this, later tractors only had one temp sensor.
Somebody better jump in here...I don't have the bulletin & CRS has kicked in. |
