Statesville, NC | I've finally had enough of the factory calipers on my Spra-Coupe 3430. I've seen where some have been converted to an automotive caliper. I know you lose the park brake but I can work around that. I'm just looking for a place to start. Any suggestions on a common, inexpensive caliper that would work with the thin brake disc?

73036 | if they are like a 220, then about any fairly modern front wheel drive car with rear disk brakes. It's the rear brakes that have the thin rotor.

west central ohio | What kind of problems are you having with the caliber? I had one hanging up took it apart and cleaned and new o rings and pads from Ag spray in North Dakota. Guys up their new coups. The pads for the 3430 (22.00 each) were back order so put the puck style from the 220 on for 80.00 total and works just fine this spring.

Redickville, Ont | I'm the guy you want to talk too. I'll have to look it up in book make sure but think it's Chrysler labaron. We have never touch brakes other than fixing master since we converted. I can get you pictures too

Statesville, NC | Thanks. You can reply back here, or email me. trentstractor @ hotmail.com (remove spaces). I'm going to start working on it in the morning. It's not the best time to be working on it, but we have a couple rainy days and I need to get it going. I'm sure others would like to have the info too, if you just want to reply to this post. Either way, thanks again. Edited by Trent2520 6/4/2017 19:03

Redickville, Ont | Ok I've bent over backwards enough times for agco I have no problem sharing although this was melroe design. So it's 1988 Chrysler Labarin calliper. Neighbour made bracket up and welded it to the final drive. He lived beside wrecker so he kept going down and trying callipers till he found one that fit. It's hung upside down now to make enough room to get it mounted. Only problem is there's no e brake so if you figure that out let me know. First two pictures are original system. I have a 3430 I'm making for spare so have old style brakes still till I convert them. The picture after are conversion. Let me know if you have any questions. Just to add it was nat approved painted lol but flaked off since conversion 2006. Pilot Grove, Missouri | Most front wheel drive cars with rear disc brakes have thin rotors and have parking brake built into the calipers. Not sure exactly what would fit. Might take some experimenting, but if it were me, I would try to keep the park brake operational. Patrick

Ravenna Ohio | Wouldn't be an ebrake but a line lock would act like a parking brake. Racers use an electric one. We had a manual lever one on a 70s Dodge fire truck once. Worked well.
