SW “Ohia” | Hello all,
I am trying to locate one of these old subsoiler/mole ball rippers. A couple guys in this region run them, and in our soil, they do help move water.
Any regions of the country use these at one time? I'd guess most are sitting in the scrap pile nowadays. In all my looking I have only found one for sale.
The Deere model numbers were 22A and 22B.

Kingston,Mi | Killifer sold units on wheels as Killifer-John Deere for a lot of years, early ones were manual lift using a wheel clutch, later ones were hydraulic. That might expand your search. I haven't seen either in years since the neighbor had a field sub-soiled with a tow type Killifer pulling a mole in the early 70's. The contractor was using a JD 830 (the big one) and making it bark. |

EC IL | Does not answer your question where to find one but I found this fast hitch IH subsoiler in a barn the other day, had to ask my dad why it had a chain welded to it with a pipe on the end. He said "that's a mole!" I hope to find the owner to see if I can buy it and add to my fast hitch implement collection.

Central Nebraska | I have one. Guess I would sell it for about half of what they are asking for those on Tractor House. This one don't have the mole attachment.
Doubt if anyone wants to drive to Nebraska to get it and doubt if I want to ship it. I imagine there are some around if you can find them. Good luck in your search. |

Pedee, Oregon | Might be cheaper/easier to find a JD 913 ripper, or a cheaper farm king or Rankin, get the mole ball parts and attach it to a standard shank. |

| To the original poster, rosseels equipment has one on tractor house. They come to the consignment sale in London OHIO which should be close enough for you to pick up.

22B. And I got mine with the mole ball.
Salesman had to do some digging, but he found it!
