South Central Minnesota | I'm in process of purchasing a 8825 self propelled swather with a draper head set up to swath small grain. I'm doing some research to find out if i can put a hay head on this unit. Would assume only a sickle head at best and would be looking for a 12-14 foot. Could you help me with model numbers or experience you've had.

South Central ND | Good luck is all I can say! We own an 8820 same thing basically and the heads are non-existent. They come with the machine as the head had the same model number. Also being mechanical drive they are rare. If you find one keep it in good shape. They do take pitmen arms though which I found to be much cheaper online otherwise through case ih or Heston |

South Central ND | I forgot to say they really are a good machine. Had since new. Very little problems. Floors a little weak on rocks though and crimper is to low to the ground it hotel rocks. Draper head is pretty much a good head with double swath option. Nothing really can go wrong. |

South Central Minnesota | I'm mostly looking to use the drapper on the small grains I'm getting into. I'm in southern Minnesota and had very little options to choose from locally for a swather. At least under $ 50-60,000 Especially a grain/drapper head. I have a hydra swing new Holland I get by with for most of the hay but thought I could put the swather to work other than the few days a year that I'll need it. May just have to leave the head alone and park it, besides some custom swathing. |
