How do you test a 3 wire Banjo EV3100 electric valve? I hooked the black wire to the negative terminal of a battery. Then I touched the red wire to the positive and the valve closed. Then I touched the white wire to the positive and it makes a faint noise, but the valve doesn't move. I tried hooking both the red and white to the positive at the same time and nothing happens. I put it on the sprayer and it works fine. I have three "spare" valves that I want to test, but don't they don't have the weatherpack connector so it makes it difficult to test on the sprayer. Here's a picture of the diagram:

Get a 12 volt battery, and hook the red up to the + terminal. Hook the black up to the - terminal. Then hold on to the white wire, and touch it to the + terminal, should open valve. Release touch of white wire to + terminal, and valve should close.

Strange how timely the posts are on this forum. I was just messing with this same issue a couple of days ago and never did figure it out. Thanks for the advice above Bob.
