Parsons Kansas | I would like to put a joystick loader valve on my 4430. I've got a need to be able to use the 2 remotes on the tractor PLUS use the loader up and down, and the tilt. Where else (if any) can a guy tap into get the hydraulics to power the joystick valve plus be able to use the SVC's of the tractor? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Darren

Central nebr | Add on a powerbeyond block to feed the joystick. That's how ours was set up

Idaho | Install a power beyond kit that sandwiches in the scv on the left remote. I installed one on my 4240 last year. I bought a new one off ebay for $150. Very easy installation. It is just a block with pressure and return. Just don't secure hoses to bottom of cab below seat. It is really loud in the cab because of the hose vibration on the sheet metal below seat.

If I remember right, in that third picture the return line need to be in a different port on the power beyond block than what I have loosely screwed in for the picture. The power beyond kit comes with several fittings to choose from and some of them do not work.

http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=684297&mid=580... I put a video in this thread of the joystick operation since someone mentioned they thought it would be awkward. I have not found it to be awkward.

Parsons Kansas | Where did you get the components to do all this at? From your JD dealer or other sources? Thank you!

Lol. Scratch that. I ended up not returning to the block at all. I only used the pressure line on top and I plugged the other holes off (there were enough fittings in the kit to accomplish this). I returned to the filter housing. Amazing how I forget things after doing this only a few months ago. Good luck!

I got everything from JD. I would look for the power beyond block elsewhere. Find the part number and Google it. Probably get it half price or less. I didn't know that until after I got it through Deere. If you have time you can find used valves for under the battery box and used joysticks. I didn't have time. The entire setup was quite expensive. $2,300 for the 3 function valve under the battery box maybe? Another $300 for the power beyond block? I think once I found the part numbers I found other JD dealers online that were selling the valve block and joystick cheaper, likely just trying to get it out of their inventory.

Good chance this is the part number for the joystick and valve kit: BWA1074 This is the power beyond kit: AR71331

Looks like that kit number for the joystick and valve setup was correct. 2 function is a different number as shown in this thread: http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=43211&mid=3239...

Fruita CO | A customer of mine bought a Koyker joystick setup to put on a 4440 w/158 loader last year. We looked for a used setup all over, but couldn't find one. Came with a power beyond block & everything. The only thing I didn't like about it was the way the joystick mounted...it was a "fitzall" kind of bracket that just did not fit the Sound-Gard console well at all. I tried about 100 different positions, thought the lever ended up too far forward, but it was OK w/the customer, so we went with it...(It was a Quad-range, a PS would have been easier to get around the shifter...) I have no idea what he paid for it, but the valve itself was a neat setup...had a push button solenoid valve for the 3rd spool...grapple fork. Edited by ronm 3/22/2017 08:04

NC ND | has anyone ever come across a JD joystick valve that was for an open center system? Relating back to an earlier post about mounting one on a 4640. Haven't had time to troubleshoot the ideas given in my thread yet, but it orginally was mounted on a 4520, then a 6030. Did they have different valves for those tractors and that is where I am loosing my hydraulic pressure now? When I get time I will plug the powerbeyond hoses off to test first thing.

Marion,ks | I have the JD joy stick setup on my 4430 the lever really is located perfectaly to not interfere with the the other levers and easy and comfortable to use. I have had it in both a quad range 4430 and now a powershift tractor. Mine also has a factory 2nd lever for a 3rd function.

Fruita CO | I know, I've done the JD setups before, & they do fit better. We looked all over for a used JD, one of those things it seems like you see them laying everywhere, but as soon as you need one, they've all disappeared... The Koyker deal was of course made to fit anything, but it was kind of like a saddle on a sow in the JD cab. I looked at another Koyker that the guy had installed himself in a 4250 Quad. It wouldn't go into D range at all...I asked him about that, & he said that's the way the picture showed to put it, & he guessed it was OK...didn't need D...I was like OK...but I sure as hell didn't let the one I put in end up that way. Idaho | 4520 & 6030 are closed center along with the 4640. I took a valve setup off my 2030 and put it on my 4240, both closed center and have had no issues.
