N IL | We got our tracks installed on the planter here a couple weeks ago and I thought I'd share a couple pictures because I see the topic brought up on here from time to time. Installation went very well....4 guys and 50 minutes and the tracks were on. Very excited to get out in the field with them. Mid-Missouri | That looks nice, a good solution. Do any of the row units have interference with the new addition?

N IL | Surprisingly no. The only issue we ran into is we had to move a lift switch and we may need to run a slightly narrower row cleaner between the tracks. Other than that I can't say enough good about Soucy for a well designed product.

Ohio | Thanks for sharing Do you know the wieght diiference between a tire and track unit? What was the primary motivation for changing to track (prevent compaction or prevent getting stuck/burying planter)? We have low wet muck. The field is never completely dry when we want to plant. I like the idea of tracks. Edited by lfreehauf 3/6/2017 08:25

south east SD | What's the cost? Ballpark not down to the penny. When around mud is there a fear of the front to tip down and becoming a anchor? Sorry for the nosey questions, inquiring minds want to know.

They look like rocks would get in there and roll around between the tracks and the opener and do who knows what kind of damage. We used to knock a couple velve stems out every year on our old 7200. Haven't had that problem yet with the 1770nt.

N IL | I don't really see that as an issue.....most roads around here are so bad you can't go fast anyway. Plus it's going being an RT which can get a little rough on the road anyway. We'll settle for a slower road speed over no pinch rows any day of the week.

N IL | They had problems with that the first year but it has been fixed on all 17 model tracks.
