ROCKHAMPTON CENTRAL QLD

It seems the Agtalk approved method of planting sunflower with  kinze finger meters is to use #1 or #2 size seed. Would anyone have a chart that gives the no of seeds per pound or (preferably Kg)  for the various sizes. Seed is not sized that way here.

Thanks

Ask me
Seeds/lb?

Doesn't your planter singulate? Am I missing something?

200K seeds/ Bag of Mycogen Variety. I've never weighed a bag...

Maybe 35lbs x 2.2kg/lb=~70Kg

200K/70Kg=2857 seeds/Kg

South Central North Dakota
Sunflower seed is usually sold at 200000 or 290000 seeds /bag, not by weight.

Be careful, a bunch of ugly Americans just might knock on your door one day.

I've only grown oils, and the precision corn meters in my kinze singulate #2 flowers as good, if not better than corn.

Ask me
Going off of XIX's chart

5500 #2 Seeds/lb x 1 lb/2.2 = 2500 seeds/Kg

You are working it out the wrong way, there is 2.2 lbs in 1 Kg

Dirty30
"Maybe 35lbs x 2.2kg/lb=~70Kg " WRONG
