| I have a 1994 6175 with 2800 hrs. Today in -35C weather I started it up to plow snow and the fail sensor light came on. Coded E37. We use it for snow plotting in the oil patch. Dealer says code says bad solenoid. Found out they are discontinued and Agco has no update numbers. Does anyone know if the solenoid after the serial number break will work? They look the same. The new ones are 6vdc. Are the old one 6 volt as well? If anyone as some experience with this it sure would be appreciated. Really cold trying to trouble shoot. Thanks |

Winkler, Manitoba Canada | Have you checked the wiring and connections to the solenoids? Maybe just a bad connection.
Funk transmission was also used on the Genesis tractors so suitable parts might be available from New Holland or Versatile. |

| Holy cow....A 1994 year model tractor and a shift solenoid is NLA. Now that's impressive manufacturing support. |

NC Iowa | I do know that those solenoids are problematic. My white mechanic advised me to buy a 170 instead of a 6175 because of the solenoid issue. I didn't know they were nla though. |

Callao Missouri | Plug & unplug the two large wire harness connectors on the outside of the firewall of the cab right in front of the clutch peddle. Also I have had no problem's getting them for a 9630 Agco Allis. Ford, Massey, white, Agco, and some fertilizer trucks, as well as some construction equipment used that same transmission. I would check a different dealer. Sometimes parts availability is only as good as the nut behind the computer key board. Jon |

NC KS | The newer solenoids work, you just have to connect the wires some how as the older ones didn't have a connector on them. That is the only difference. The only way a dealer will have an older one in stock is old inventory.
Solenoid should be magnetized when voltage is applied.

Lynd Minnesota | I don't know your location but have you called maibach tractor?
Lots of knowledge of white tractors in that place. |

NC KS | I was around my older tractor today. You will need a 2 pin connector to go with the later model solenoid. Should be able to get the first at the dealer. Rest of them can be sourced elsewhere as soon as you figure out the name of it.
Newer solenoids have the plug on the solenoid for wiring harness. Older ones have wires coming out of them without a connector nearby. There was a solenoid number that had the connector and a pigtail included in the box but maybe that is the one that disappeared. |

Yes, just like CIH Steigers with the manual transmission having many NLA parts. Tell me how this is a White only problem again? :)

Central Todd County MN. | The solenoids on a Gleaner Combine look the same. I used some to test the ones on the tractor we had. |
