NE ND | Looking at a different snowblower. Need something to open up bin sites that are blown in with really hard snow. Drifts are 6 to 8 feet high and hard enough to walk right over. Wondering if either of these are as good as their website says they are? Will be running on a 160 horse tractor now, maybe 185hp in the future fwiw. 8600 snoblast or the 848 Snocrete?

Farmington IL | I have a 848 snowcrete. I call it the animal. It is as good as they say. The more HP the better. It is a awesome weapon to have in the shed.

Nw Iowa | They are good for hard snow. Don't throw as far as some of the blowers. Other than that darn good blower

Strathcona, mn | I have a wildcat, predecessor to the snowblast. It is truely amazing what it'll chew through. I have a 180hp fwa on it but it could use 250hp with a cvt. I'm looking at a 210hp agco with a cvt to put on it in the winter. Dirt, corn stalks, manure, it doesn't matter it just chews it up and spits it out. Michigan | This is a pre 1980s Fair blower. Over 300hp and it kills the tractor before it gives up anything. (image.jpeg) Attachments ---------------- image.jpeg (110KB - 81 downloads)

I have a older Wildcat which I bought used in the winter of 13/14. I believe this is the company that became Snowblast. I haven't used it a whole lot but it seems to take a lot more traction to push through hard drifts compared to the Lundell that I had before. The Wildcat has more blowing capacity in average snow but backing in to hard piles I will spin out. With the Lundell I could just slide the clutch and chew through the pile.

EC ND | I have a 9600 Snowblast and it is as good as advertised. We have it on a JD 8400 and it is everything the tractor can handle. It is built heavy and tough.

SE South Dakota/ SW Minnesota | Have a fair 954a it will kill the 200 hp tractor I have it on. I have never broke a shear bolt. Hard snow is no match for it whatsoever. Cylinder on third arm is a must for either.
