SW Ohio
They are all made outside US....
If buying local, Swiagert Electric in Englewood sells leeson, and barga sales greenville sells and rebuilds also. Cheap way to get a motor is find a model number with the specs you need, then find a cross reference chart and start searching google, amazon, and ebay.

If the windings a good, a rebuild is around $250, hopefully with usa or canadian capacitors.

Masteller in Sidney or Foster Equipment at the farm. At work we get our 3 phase from Mader Motor in Springfield or Motion Industries.

I bought a WEG a couple years ago and have been very happy. It runs very cool compared to a Dayton I have in the same application. Not sure why but wegs seem more expensive now.

I have quite a few teco motors around, have been good never had any problems, pretty much everything I have is 3 phase. The supplier I get them from also sells baldor and says these are considerably cheaper and have a better warranty and also they said if there are warranty issue's teco is a lot easier to deal with than baldor, only reason he said they continue to sell baldor is they make a much wider range of sizes where teco is more limited on sizes and variations but it has never been an issue as I have all common stuff no oddball stuff for farm duty motors.

Just to tell you about how good warranty Teco has, a millwright who sources all of his motors from them had an issue on a 300+hp motor on top of a 150' high leg, installed a new motor and crane had left before electrician got everything wired, something was wrong with motor and Teco actually picked up the tab on getting a crane out to remove and install a new motor, that's pretty good in my book. Now I'm sure this guy was buying a lot of $$ worth of motors from them so that helped the warranty process also.

I get them from mid plains distributing in Fargo ND I know they also have a location in Sioux falls SD also. Go to http://www.tecowestinghouse.com/ and they have a place you can search for distributors in your area.

Northwest IOWA
PowerCom in Washington Iowa has sold us half a dozen 10& 15 hp 3phase Teco/ Westinghouse ... the last one we ordered was "farm duty" rather than industrial duty ..the wires leading out of of motor to connect to were so short,it made installation difficult. We will specify "industrial grade" in the future.... not PowerCom s fault..just a Teco issue im guessing .otherwise seem like good motors...
