We have a Johb Deere 6410 that the three point hitch will not operate.

The tractor was previously power washed and before that it was pulling a harvest field dolly ( allows you to pull semi trailers through the field behind a tractor).

You can manually override the hydraulic valve by turning the screw at the top of the valve but can not operate the valve from the operators station.

We checked and changed the fuse

We replaced the electric switches with no change.

Before we go changing more stuff or calling the dealer what else can we check?

The tractor is a basic no thrills open station, MFWD tractor with 10,000 hrs, power quad with creeper transmission.

West central Illinois
Mine quit couple months ago. Pto also. There is a wire that goes into the seat that was broke. Don't know what it does but it did not allow 3 pt or pto to work. Check there.

I look there but I don't think there are any wires going to the seat this is a basic tractor with a grammar seat that just slides forward and back. I'll check to see if the p t o works... I don't think it's ever been used.

There is a potentiometer under a cover on back of the casting that gets water in if you power wash and it wont work if it gets wet inside.
Had to replace mine ..6400 cab tractor. seems it needed some computer reprograming after replacement.
