Adding Vset to a planter and a bit confused on how to hookup the case drain. None of the hydraulic hoses came with the blower and I see that the case drain coupler is different than a regular, pioneer or equivalent coupler. Do I need to buy a special hose w/ the coupler or is there an adapter? Secondly, in the planter setup manual it shows the case drain connection kit that one would need to buy to attach a case drain hose (see below). In the planter operator manual it shows an 8000 series coupler and in the tractor manual it shows a low-pressure return circuit as well as the hydraulic motor return. I guess my question is - is there anyway to make this work without buying a kit from Deere? If not, do I order the BA30218 kit or is that the wrong part #? Lastly, where do I get the coupler that goes on the case drain hose and attaches to the tractor or is there any way I can use a regular hose? This is a flat faced coupler and hose fitting. They are important, as they allow for full flow, and cannot be Mixed up when hooking things up. They can be found aftermarket, Parker or similar.

I'll answer what I can. If it needs a case drain, it will need 3 hoses that all connect to different places on the tractor. If it has case drain, it is a 3rd zero (minimum) restriction return that goes to the sump. A motor return is different. They use the flat face coupler as a way of not confusing them with the other hoses in the system. I think. If it requires a case drain connection, you can get just the end from your vendor of choice. Just put the end on the hose. Do NOT just use an adapter. Bad carma and hoses will get switched eventually. Don't tee the motor return and the case drains together either. The motor return fluid can over pressurize the case drain at the motor and blow the seal. Motor return goes to the scv or motor return port if your tractor has one. Case drain goes to the case drain.

ECKS | At least your manual tells you where to access the low pressure return circuit. My 6150R manual does not and the dealer couldn't say for sure. I tied into the hitch valve and seems to work. I don't like to return motor to scv.

Thanks for all the replies. Did a bit more research and it looks like I will need the case drain kit re216207 and motor return kit re55193. In reading through the manual I wouldn't necessarily have to get the re55193 kit but it is preferred. Now I know the case drain has it's own coupler but I'm guessing the motor return kit will too? ECKS | I ordered the kit dealership suggested and it had standard pioneer coupler, no tip. Hose wasn't right length, so pieced together using coupler w/mount from orscheln. I put a ck valve behind male tip to protect wrong hookup. I am concerned of that connection possibly pulling apart while supply stayed connected. That would be bad for the motor.
