central texas | Can you spray generic Roundup with Gramoxone?

NC Kansas | I know of people that say you can't cause the gramoxone burns too quickly for the round up to work. I also know people that do and claim that it does still work. So yes... you "can" but I think conditions and other factors may affect how well the R-up will work.

central texas | That what i was thinking i know it will work but how good? I have some volunteer corn and johnson grass would use another chemical but trying to plant wheat in less than 30 days on that feild.
No soil disturbance |

We do it all the time. It has been lethal on grass in my experience. Take the roundup out and the grass comes back from the burn. I have heard differing opinions on this but my experience has been the RUP still gets in enough to help and make it worth it.

Southern Illinois | I sprayed Roundup and Liberty together back in my retail days with very good results. Although not exactly the same Liberty and Gramoxone work in similar ways. Is Liberty an option over Gramoxone? I was spraying fallow ground so no restrictions. Used both chemicals, AMS and plenty of water for the Liberty.

perryton, tx | Have you tried it on volunteer wheat?

Lancaster, OH | I guess Roundup is cheap enough now that jeopardizing the performance doesn't matter. On annuals, this might not be too damaging but if you try it on perennials, you'll lose.

In our experience it has worked awesome on volunteer wheat.

Glyphosate works just fine alone on grass. If that is your issue, then why use Gramoxone. Gramoxone would only be used if looking at resistant broadleaves, that need to be burned down.

thumb of michigan | Why not use 1 oz. of Sharpen?

Gramoxone would only be used if looking at resistant broadleaves, that need to be burned down. The volunteer corn is roundup ready need something to kill it or knock it back. Not worried about the johnsongrass just don't want to waste the chemical if there gonna cancel each other out.

Manchester, OK | DMTexas - If you are going back to wheat just use 32 oz paraquat, .4 oz finesse, and 6.4 oz of destiny or good COC. I have done this on my post harvest jungle and smokes everything except small johnson grass. Run 20 gal of water. You will be impressed. Earlier in the season I ran gly and 24D with it and still didn't get the grass so 'here' i don't see value in adding anything into the mix given frost is coming soon. It will smoke fully seeded mature johnson grass too Edited by reddirtfarmer 9/18/2016 09:54

central texas | Well I got in a hurry and did it anyway 20gpa-32oz Rup-1 1/2pt gramoxone. Did it close to dark by lunch next day everything was burned down so I guess we will see if Rup got other grasses in a week or so got chances of rain so if it didn't get it should come back pretty fast
