Warren County, Mo | Menards apparently got their start doing a lot of pole barn kits, they have an estimator that will allow you to design the barn and get the materials purchased and delivered. Anyone used them? Just curious on how good it worked... I'm looking at putting up a new shed either this fall or next spring.

Save big money! And take their quote on your building plan when they are running the paper bag special and put that paper in the bag and save 11% more!

SE NE | Yep, I bought 1 two years ago when they run their 11% rebate. I've got along real well with it.

Day Co. SD | I use Menards and have few problems. If you are doing the work yourself, Menards is fine. If you are gonna hire a crew to put up a Menards kit, You will probably not be happy in the end.

Farmington IL | I have built a couple of them. The doors are pretty cheap but other than that they are fine. We built them ourselves with some help from a couple carpenter friends and some neighbors.

sc ia | I've got Menards, Morton and Wicks. Menards might be the best. My oldest Menards is only 12 years old so time will tell.

western iowa,by Denison | when I priced with my local fac co-op in Arcadia Ia-the same package was cheaper and better quality lumber-plus the dividend more then surpassed Menards 11%-price your local guys-you will be surprised

SE SD | jclifton1960 - 8/26/2016 11:18 LOL something tells me that wouldn't honor that :) They should. I put a 36x80 calving barn up and they took the discount off about a month after I had the quote.

Put up a menards shed 3 yrs ago. They said any lumber I didn't like could be swapped ut. Very easy to work with and few complaints

SE SD | AGDEAL - 8/26/2016 14:31 LOL!!! How true. slimdairylate - 8/26/2016 13:09 Put up a menards shed 3 yrs ago. They said any lumber I didn't like could be swapped ut. Very easy to work with and few complaints I helped a friend put up a Menards shed a few years ago. If we sent the twisted and warped lumber back we would never finish Always chuckle when I see a couple guys in plaid shorts loading picked over warped twisted 2x4s on a pile of 8 ft sheet rock sitting on a maxed out little trailer :) Around here we just call the lumber yard, they deliver a better product as.a very comparable price. North Central IN | Exactly what we did. 11% off of a pole barn we put up. Considering doing a cattle shed that way again.

sc ia | The lumber I got with my building kits was grade1 and 2 lumber not the grade 3 and 4 like they have at their stores. The kits come from Wisconsin unless things have changed.

Pine City, MN | Whatever building you build. Get the higher quality post. In the early 90's we built 2 building with the cheaper and they are starting to rot. All our other building have the good post. Zero rot.

We did one about 10 years ago. 50x120. One thing I did when pricing it was upgrade a few things along the way. Heavier snow load. Three instead of two LVL beams across door openings. A few 4ply post instead of three in a few areas.

Badger State | 11% is off everything. But LP and gift cards. They finally wised up to my game.

mercer county, il | I complained enough that our store sent out lumber to us and picked up the nasty stuff if you get an overhead door, open it up and check all the panels out as soon as you get it, ours was all dinged up, but the posts did not come for more than a month after the doors and trusses, after we put the shed up and went to put the door in and realized it was bad, more than 30 days had elapsed (obviously, as stated above it is hard to build a shed without posts) so they would not replace the bad sections on the door. Had to hold their feet to the fire, but they made it right. all in all happy with the menards buildings we have, but I would not take delivery of anything until it can all ship knowing what I know now

Iowa | Menards sells many buildings during their 11% off sale, it is a great time to purchase from them. I purchased my last building from them on a 11% sale and was overall very happy. I would do it again.

SD | Put up a small shop 5 years ago. We saved enough from the Menards 11% off sale we were able to put up another storage shed two years later on another 11% off sale. Very happy with both of them so far. Very affordable and they do what we intended them to do. Just be careful of the contractor you select if any. I had to finish some bracing work on both sheds, which was overlooked by me before I let them go, but it was my mistake and its hard to find good contractors anymore.
