SW Ohio | What do you guys think of case IH 3020 35' grain heads? we are running a 2020 35' now and are thinking about trading for a new one, just wondering if the new ones were good and if they had any problems, thanks for any info, |

| Improved feeding over 2020, not much negative. First release had some assembly issue's and some updates. |

NE KS | I had one for a couple hundred acres when they first came out, couldn't get it back to the dealer fast enough. Now I am wondering the same as our 2020 is just completely wore out and I'm tired of working on it during harvest. Our dealer won't sell one, they just push drapers but $80K for a head is out of the question.
FWIW the head fed awesome. |

Central WI | once you try a draper youll never look back, well worth the money

NW Iowa | Our 3020 30' was new when we bought a couple years after they came out. We also had a 2020 30'. The 3020 left the next year and we bought a Fd75s 35'. The 2020 is still here. Does a better job and no problems. It will leave this year for another FD75s 35'. |

| You should be able to buy a good used macdon draper for what a new 3020 will cost and the used macdon will have more life left than the new 3020. |

| Will you guys please explain the problems your having with the 3020 heads instead of just saying they're worthless.......would like to know. Went from a 1020 to a 3020 and would not go back. No problems, but probably don't run near the acres through it that you guys do. |

SE Nebraska | Same here. Went from 1020 to 3020 and I am pleased. Sure draper would be better but we all don't have the acres to justify the cost. |

Central Minnesota | Not a basher here. Have 3 years on 35 foot with AWS air bar. Have a double drive and they did not have the correct hold downs on the left side and the sickle would break the top of the guards off. A single drive would not of had the problem. Also there is something wrong with reel lift cylinders as one side of real settles when held up in air. Its not to fast so have just put up with it. Don't know if it is because of air real extra weight or not. Also have never run a draper head so don't know what I'm missing. Do know that a fore/aft tilt cylinder on the header would be nice. |

North Central Ia | I agree with tightwad went from 1020 to 3020, both have Crary air reels and get (got) along great with both. Would like to try a draper but can't convince me it is going do better job than my auger/air head. Especially when I see more and more guys adding air bars to the drapers. Yes I understand you can start earlier and run later that would be nice sometimes. I can normally push my 3020 as fast as it will sickle it off so feel I'm covering as many acres as I would with a draper. That being said I'm afraid to demo one as I would probably be trying to figure out a way to keep it around! Haha |

EC NE | Have ran a 3020 for five years and no complaints. We do run an air reel which I feel, has to help save a few beans especially when you have dry years and the beans are short. With a full finger auger and the air reel feeding issues are non-existent. I don't see the need for spending $30,000 more for a draper, just my opinion. The 3020 is a huge improvement in flexing with the individual floor pieces compared to a 2020. |

NW Minnesota | You should be able to find a nice used one a year or two old very cheap, nothing wrong with them but everyone wants drapers. If I was buying new and looking to add an air bar I would just get a slightly used draper. |

Owens Cross Roads, AL | I have a 30' 3020 on a 5130 combine, last year I added a AWS air bar. The air bar helps feed the dc beans better, when the dew starts falling just turn up the air and it feeds great. Wilson |
