I should check out this older IH 1066 steering. The steering quit suddenly, but I think the TA still works. So I am thinking the pump is still working. What are the first things you would check ? Edited by Deere Meat 8/3/2016 22:53

SE MN Still in Pothole Country | If sprag is good loss of hydraulic pressure means no high side of TA but will still pull in low side. But hold back will be lost in low side

Farming in NW Iowa | Did you also lose power brakes and does the lube light stay on? If so you have a bad pump or the pto gear splines went away.

Frederick, Md | Locked up tight? If so hand pump. Not many choices here, 2 pumps or cylinder up front.

Stamford Texas | If everything else is working check flow divider valve.

Hmmm. Good question. I will have to check some things out. I thought the TA & brakes worked normal & lube light was out. Will Check. Thanks for the tips, Ya'all !

Any chance it could have been air? Or a stuck flow divider, maybe? Its working just fine now! I will let it work till it quits again. Thanks for all your input, guys!
