west central ohio | Have a 6 row 7000 conservation 7"x 7" frame that I want to put a top/wheel drive on. Talked to the guys at Pequea and looks like a good option but wander if the drives off a JD1770 or Kinze would fit without a lot of fabrication? Thanks. Edited by alfalfa338 5/2/2016 09:57

Desk Jockey - 5/2/2016 09:56 never seen negatives on the pequea in my searches, any post on it that your remember. From the small amount of searching here, it seems Pequea doesn't have that great of reputation for these drives. I'm interested in a Jamison for mine.

NE Iowa | I'm in the middle of putting a Jamison kit on our 7000. Bought based on reviews seen on here and chance to check out a kit the neighbor was putting on his. Seems like it is put together pretty decent, but haven't yet run it in the field. The instructions leave a little to be desired, but it's simple enough, it would be pretty hard to mess it up. southeastern ohio | We put the Pequea top drive on a 4 row 7000 this year. Havent got it the field yet, but everything was well made and went together good.

blairsville,pa | Pequea is built proof on a 6 row... my only regret is not putting it on the last two planters

Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | I'm on my fourth or fifth season with the Jamison Drive and I've had zero problems. I'd recommend it to anyone. I bought it because I was having problems with the Deere clutch slipping and it was hard to catch....it would slip intermittently and the monitor wouldn't catch it, but it was visible when corn came up. A plus with the top drive I really like but never thought about when I bought it, is you can turn the drive wheels with the planter raised and watch it spit out seed and fertilizer......makes it handy to check things out at time. NE Iowa | We finished beans using a Jamison Top Drive from the first year. Ran it on a 16 row 15" planter. Only thing had to do to it the whole season was to tighten up the 2 drive chains after 100A. So nice not to deal with the old drive chains. Worked great. (20160518_164031.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 20160518_164031.jpg (161KB - 212 downloads)

Southeast Ohio | I had to put my drive wheels on the same side to get transmission to turn 100% of the time. Caused my tire spacing on tractor and planter wheels running in track. Since then... Bulletproof. Edited by Buz Brandes 5/24/2016 07:46 (image.jpeg) Attachments ---------------- image.jpeg (120KB - 214 downloads)
