Any way to update the seed transmission to give a better selection of population.

Southern Mn | I believe you can get a sprocket to up the population to about 36,500. I have the old 2040 chain transmission, don' t know if that's a possibility on mine but on the newer style chain you can

Humboldt, IA | Just finishing up rebuilding a 7000 and got a lot of help from this post.
Bought all of my parts from shoup. Can't seem to justify paying more and waiting longer to get parts from mother Deere. Seems fairly straight forward and want to drop it in the snow to double check that everything is right before I put it back in the shed

Kingston, Ohio | I don't want to hijack but does anyone know if you can still buy sprockets to reduce population so I can plant beans without having to put on 200k?

20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana | What bean meters are you using? I know with my Kinze 60 cell meters you just multiply the corn pop setting by 5 to get the bean population

Or by 4 for the 48 cell. | |||

We used to plant beans years ago with a 7000, and If I remember right, you could set it a lot lower than 200000. We had the feed cups.

Shoup has a sprocket that gets it to 34K. I built one before they had it with a hex shaft welda hub from one stare and the sprocket (40 chain sprocket works fine with the 2040 chain). You could make any thing you want so long as the big sprocket and chain don't hit other parts, like the other shaft and the housing. You might need to make a new chain length and do some computation.
