![]() Chebanse, IL..... | Did I hear correctly that 360 Y-drops recently lowered their prices? I think someone said about $650 per row now? Or, did I misunderstand? Also, do the real 360 y-drops feed 2 hoses off 2 separate nozzle bodies? Or is each row fed by only 1 nozzle body on the boom? Seems if you were going to use a "skip-row" configuration, you'd like each hose fed off 2 separate bodies for redundancy sake. Or, do I have the concept wrong?

Morris, IL | I think the nutra boss units are about that much. They use dual tubes. I'm pretty sure yield360 has a Y at the bottom feed by one hose. I would be very surprised if yield 360 has lowered the price. I had heard they were close to 1k each with the undercover and 750 range for just Y drops but I could be wrong. They are grossly over priced, all of them. http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=606838&posts=7...

St. Charles, MO & Piper City, IL | Tenant that farms mine just informed me they went to $650/row. He's looking to add them to his Hagie.

Malinta Ohio | They feed from 1 nozzel off the boom and Y at the bottom. There has to be orfices or variable rate nozzels installed. There should be no need to feed from 2 nozzels off boom. In pic the green nozzels r the variable rate nozzels on mine. (image.jpg) Attachments ---------------- ![]()

![]() Chebanse, IL..... | My personal reason for wanting 2 hoses & 2 orifices & 2 nozzle bodies is to preclude total row blockage. The orifices just have a small hole in them. A speck of rust can lodge & block them. We see it occasionally on sprayer tips. Filters are much better today than 45 years ago....but stuff still happens. Using 2 separate nozzle bodies, orifices, and hoses would lessen the chance of totally starving 1 unit. The nozzle bodies are already on sprayers, therefore you'd only need 1 additional orifice & a few feet of hose. If anyone is considering using them in "skip-row" configuration, redundancy would be even more important. I think it's a "here" thing.

Malinta Ohio | If that is what you want it could be done very easy. Take the Y out and run a 2nd hose. The hoses r zip tied to the drop Edited by tomatofarmer 1/31/2016 12:47

Monroe City, MO | so, if a guy just bought a set within the past year or so will he get a check back? I priced a set last year from a "dealer" here in Missouri. I asked him if he ran a set and he said "not yet". I guess too expensive for even the dealer to own.

South Central Wisconsin | I've wondered about using them in a skip row configuration. In regards to the plugging possibility, The saving grace is the orifice is going to be bigger.

There is no "rebate" check back; however, the reason for the price decrease is they redesigned the sprayer mount package and it now cost less. If you had a old sprayer mount package you can get an updated one for free as part of the new design. We are dealers and ran it across 1,100 acres this past year.

Tip of the Thumb of Michigan | I heard $450 for the ones that replace coulters on your sidedress rig. you can use them on a sprayer if you are not applying past the units height. They claim 5 bushel advantage using y-drops over coulters. Edited by arcticcatfarmer 1/31/2016 15:12

Western Il. Hancock County | Put this in the "stupid question" category but can y-drops be utilized on a pull type sprayer?

Juneau, WI | From what I understand you shouldn't need to run an orfice on the top only on the bottom after the split.

Central Minnesota | Not sure about how well the boom is built on a pull type sprayer, but the yield 360 is heavy! In my opinion. Nutra boss is much lighter. Yield 360 is a nice product. It's nice, works good. Can't say much bad about it. But there's "a lot to it" compared to a Nutra Boss. Or drop hoses even. Anyone on here handy with a tig welder, a saw, and a tape measure could easily build their own "y drop". Buy yourself some light gauge stainless steel, some rubber hose, orifices, clamps and go to work. I put nutra boss on my 4830 last year. Cheaper than yield 360, and way lighter per unit. I'm not a fan of all of that extra weight hanging on the boom for starters. And if the nutra boss works as good, why spend double the money? You can look at pics of a nutra boss, or yield 360, get some ideas, and start building.

![]() Chebanse, IL..... | greenfarmer How did the NB work on your 4830? Do you have to remove some to fold for transport? How many rows did you attach? What part of your N program was the late application? Did you, or would you consider "skip row"? How many acres would you guess you covered? Did you test anything for yield results? Thanks
