Wanting to make a slip and slide for the kids Sunday afternoon and wondering if a bit of dish soap on the grass will kill it. I don't think it should but hate to find out the hard way!! I think some of the big kids (me) will have to try it as well!!

Nope, sure won't. I use dish soap alot to bring fishin worms to the top! Squeeze some out on the yard, water it down really good and the night crawlers will rise to the top. Along with the other bugs in the grass. I have just about "washed" all of my grass for night crawlers.
Have a good one,

Wife washes the porch & sidewalk once a week with same stuff she mops the kitchen floor with. When done she throws it in the yard. Has been doing this for the 37 yrs we have been married & hasn't killed any grass yet.

No, it will kill some bugs though!

The plastic will do more harm covering the grass and preventing photosynthesis than surfactant ever will.

Well, depends on how long the jug sets on the plant...

Here's what you need, a Slicer

From http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07314/832625-30.stm

Scott Ireland of Denver invented the SLICER, which can be used on snow or, with the addition of a couple of blocks of ice, on a grassy hillside.

Now, for the test.  What color is the Slicer?
