My vote is for the McTavish, I priced them all and there McTavish was the best bang for the buck imo. I don't believe winn rack or stor loc offered the upper cabinets which we wanted, we got everything pictures for about the same price as 2 12' floor cabinets and an 8' roller cabinet from winn rack and we wouldn't have had the upper cabinets

They start at approximately $300/ft for the lower cabinet with the standard drawers, a little extra if you want some smaller drawers

I'll recommend McTavish. Really, really like ours. The only thing I'll suggest is if you buy some pay the extra for the stainless steel top, it's worth every penny when you calculate out how many years you'll probably use the bench.

I recommend the Stor-Loc over McTavish. I have both in my shop.

The Stor-Loc is much easier to divide drawers for small parts storage. It may have changed now, but when I bought mine, McTavish had no drawer dividers available at all.

The McTavish also uses the same drawer for all drawer heights. The only difference between a 4" drawer and a 12" drawer is the plate in the front to fill the gap. The actual drawer is always gonna be 4" deep. It's very easy for things to fall out of the drawers and get wedged in there. I had a bolt fall out of one of mine and I thought I was gonna have to torch the bench apart to get it out...

They do offer different drawer heights now as well as dividers that work very well, I will get some pics when I get to the shop. I hadn't really considered them since the last time I had looked at them they were a pretty basic design but we looked at them again per the advice on nat and they have made lots of nice improvements, the upper cabinets was another thing that swayed us, if you need or want them.

Stor-Loc. I did a bunch of millwright and mechanical work for them when they first opened in Kankakee,IL. Outstanding quality product, very well made. Great people to work with. I believe they will make them in just about any arrangement and color you want.

It's a roller bearing on a flat slide, but yes I will get some pics when I get back to the shop, drawers are very easy to remove.

Wow! Some pretty serious looking shop benches there!

Ours is about 10-12' of wooden bench with wood drawers/cupboards.

Honestly, though I find that most of ours ends up covered in "stuff" leaving about 3' each side of the vice for a work area. If I was doing it again, I would just have a short bench (4-5') built in and then have rolling cabinets/workbenches for the rest.

A sorry for al the questions but I've always been curious of other ways make drawer slides. What keeps the drawer from falling forward when the drawer is extended out?

There's kind of a detent, you have to lift the front of the drawer up and pull out and then let it down to remove the drawer.
